Oral care

Eating delicious meals by your own mouth every day will keep your mental and physical health, improve your QOL, and enrich your life.
However, if the mouth is dirty or the oral function is impaired, it not only loses the enjoyment of eating, but also causes malnutrition, dehydration, aspiration, respiratory infection, etc. It deteriorates the general condition and leads to a decrease in QOL. (Quality of life)

For those who need nursing care, there are cases in which proper oral care is not provided due to various reasons. If you have cavities or periodontal disease or denture defect that makes you unable to chew food, and your mouth becomes unclean, you will be more and more unable to eat. However, proper oral care may improve comfort and/or motivation. Oral care raises awareness of oral hygiene and improves oral function.
